そう、ピーター。賛否両論っていうのは、何かに対して賛成の意見と反対の意見がある状況を指す言葉なの。

それは「働き方改革」と関連があるの。"働き方改革"っていうのは、日本の伝統的な働き方を改革して、ワークライフバランスを改善し、現代の時代に合わせることを目指す政治的・社会的な概念なのよ。
So, "work style reform" is about transforming the traditional working norms in Japan. But why is the phrase "働いて×5" controversial in this context?
高市早苗首相の「働いて働いて働いて働いて働いてまいります」っていうフレーズは、自分自身が働きまくることを示すものだから、働きすぎを奨励しているという意見もあるの。
I see, so some people think this phrase encourages overworking, which goes against the concept of work style reform.
そうなの。でも、高市首相はその意図はないって説明したんだよね。
She explained that she didn't mean to encourage overworking. Interesting.
ね。では、実際にどういう文脈でこれらのフレーズを使うか見てみましょう。

And if I want to say that there are mixed reactions about a new policy, I can say, "新しい政策については、賛否両論だね。"
