実際に、一人のシニア女性は、「すべての依頼はやりがいがあります。楽しい。必要とされていると思うと、特に。人生の中で会わない人もたくさんいるでしょ。出会えない人。そういう方とここで出会えるから、それって一期一会じゃない。もしも私の娘だったら、私の孫だったらと思いながら話しています」と語っていますね。
That's heartwarming. She finds fulfillment in her work and feels needed. Meeting people she wouldn't otherwise meet gives her joy. That's a wonderful example of "やりがい".
そうだね。それでは、"やりがい"の使い方について、何か例を挙げてみるよ。例えば、「この仕事は大変だけど、やりがいがある」。これは、"This job is tough, but it's rewarding"という意味だね。
Ah, I see. So you can use "やりがい" to talk about a challenging but rewarding job.
その通り、Peter。また、「子育てはやりがいがある」もありますね。これは、"Raising children is rewarding"という意味になるよ。
